The little palm is an ideal starting point for all the numerous possibilities that open up in the immediate vicinity, in Cape Town or the surrounding area.
The Blouberg Beachfront “on your doorstep” and the numerous beaches around Blouberg-strand invite you to take long walks. The sporting possibilities in the immediate vicinity are almost limitless – whether on the beach for surfing, kitesurfing or jogging, whether to play a few holes on one of the nearby golf courses, whether to take a bike trip to Melkbos. The selection is varied.
Of course, when visiting Cape Town, the Table Mountain and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (approx. 25 minutes drive) are on the program. Hike on Lions Head until you see Cape Town and Robben Island from above. Enjoy the views of Table Mountain, the 12 Apostles or Camps Bay during the ascent – with enough time and some courage, a tandem jump from Signal Hill with a safe landing in Seapoint? A discovery tour through Woodstock, the Waterkant or Bo-Kaap? Or rather a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden? There are so many ways to experience and discover the city. And the range of sights, restaurants and activities is steadily growing.
Start your tour around the Cape Peninsula from the little palm. Stop in Muizenberg at the famous coloured bathhouses, visit one of the small boutiques and galleries in Kalk Bay or visit the colony of dwarf penguins at Boulders Beach in Simons Town. The destination is the Cape of Good Hope with a short hike. On the way back drive over the Chapmans Peak Drive to Hout Bay for the sunset.
Of course you can also start from the little palm into the wine region or the wine triangle Stellenbosch – Franschhoek – Paarl. Stellenbosch is only about 40 km away. Enjoy the excursions, the views, the towns them-selves as well as the numerous wineries, which invite you to a wine tasting with snacks, lunch or a picnic.
And last but not least, a trip to the West Coast National Park – it is roughly 70km (45 minutes) from here.
